The Center Street Church of
Christ has a long-standing commitment to mission work.
Currently, we are involved with spreading the Gospel in the
African nations of Ghana, The Gambia, Sierra Leone and
Liberia, and the South American country of Bolivia.
We directly support the work of Isaac Daye in The Gambia
and the work of Erik Reyes in Bolivia.
Craig Laird was recently hired as an associate minister for
the Center Street church, and a big part of his duties have
to do with coordinating our mission work. He reports on
those activities in his mission blog
on this site.
In addition, we are involved with Gospel Tracts
International, a work of the Baldwin Church of
Christ, also in Fayetteville. This ministry prints and
ships 2-million pieces of literature annually to mission
points around the world. In addition to financial
support, several members of the Center Street church are
involved in the weekly Thursday Morning Tract Workings
held at the Baldwin church building. Our associate
minister, Robb Hadley, also is on loan to GTI one day a
week to assist this ministry’s director, Bobby Dockery,
in the work.
We also send financial support to In Search of the Lord's Way, a
television ministry out of Edmond Oklahoma which
produces a program broadcast all over the U.S.A. and on
the internet.
Each Summer we have a mission trip to either an overseas or
stateside mission point. In July of 2008, a large group
from Center Street took part in a summer mission trip to
assist the congregation in Stafford, Kansas.
